It’s 5 PM, and you’re hungry. The day’s been full-on, the fridge is uninspiring, and the last thing you feel like doing is juggling five pans and scrubbing them after. You want something quick, something delicious, and preferably something that won’t leave your kitchen looking like a cyclone’s been through.

We get it. The 5 PM scramble is real. It hits hard, especially on weeknights when everyone’s tired and just wants dinner on the table. That’s exactly why the Ninja Multicooker range exists - it’s your shortcut to flavour-packed, family-friendly meals without the fuss. With the Ninja Kitchen Multicooker range and one-pot multicooker meals, you can skip the chaos and serve something impressive, without even turning on the oven.

In this article, we’re sharing three easy multicooker recipes that prove weeknight dinners don’t have to be a drama. Each recipe is tailored to one of Ninja’s star appliances, so whether it’s our revolutionary Ninja Combi™ 14-in-1 Multicooker or our everyday Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker™, these will tick the boxes: fast, flavourful, minimal mess.

Here’s what’s cooking:

  • A full meal in just 15 minutes, perfect for hangry moments
  • A rich, hearty stew that simmers to perfection with zero babysitting
  • A one-pot pasta that tastes like a cheat night (without the guilt)

Dinner stress? Handled. Let’s jump in.

Why Every Aussie Kitchen Needs a Ninja Multicooker

More Than Just a Pot

Remember when a slow cooker was the peak of convenience cooking? Dump everything in, walk away, and return eight hours later to a decent stew. Those days were great, but Ninja Multicookers have taken things to the next level.

Ninja Multicookers aren’t just for slow simmering. They can sear your meat, sauté your onions, steam your veggies, pressure cook a curry, bake a cobbler, or even air fry a crispy salmon fillet. With that much power in one appliance (seriously, it’s like having your oven, stovetop, and slow cooker rolled into one smart, compact machine), you might think it sounds a bit complicated. But here’s the surprise: it’s not. Ninja Multicookers are designed to be intuitive and easy to use - no chef’s hat required. The controls are clear, the functions are foolproof, and the presets take all the guesswork out.

So whether you’re a seasoned home cook or someone who usually relies on toasties and takeaway, you’ll be cooking like a pro in no time.

The Triple-Threat Advantage: Faster, Easier, Tastier

A Ninja Multicooker, like the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 6L Multi Cooker, is the triple threat every busy kitchen needs. Multicookers are:

1. Time-saving

Whether you’re racing between school pick-ups, Zoom calls, or just trying to get dinner done before the hangry hits, Ninja’s multicookers drastically cut down both cooking and cleaning time. Pressure cooking, sautéing, and air frying all happen faster than traditional methods, and with fewer dishes to scrub afterwards.

2. Convenient

With easy-to-use presets and set-and-forget functions, you can throw your ingredients in, walk away, and let the Ninja handle the rest. No stirring. No hovering. Just a beep when dinner’s ready. Plus, one-pot meals mean less mess and more space in the sink (or fewer fights about whose turn it is to wash up).

3. Big on flavour, rich in nutrients

These machines don’t just cook fast - they cook well. From pressure cooking that locks in moisture and nutrients, to searing that builds flavour right from the start, your meals will taste like they’ve taken hours… even if they haven’t.

So whether you’re cooking for one, feeding a family, or prepping meals for the week ahead, a Ninja Multicooker gives you real results with less effort.

Recipe 1:

The 15-Minute Complete Meal - Lemon-Herb Panko Crusted Cod

This Lemon-Herb Panko Crusted Cod is crispy, golden, zesty, and done in under 20 minutes. It’s light enough for a warm evening, satisfying enough to feed the whole family, and thanks to the Ninja Foodi SmartLid™ Multi-Cooker OL650, it’s all made effortlessly with the Air Fry function — no oven, no flipping, and barely any cleanup. It preheats fast, cooks evenly, and delivers flavour-packed results.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 boneless cod fillets (or firm white fish)
  • 2 tsp salt, divided
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Lemon wedges, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the multicooker
Insert the crisper plate into the air fry basket, then insert the basket into the unit.
Select AIR FRY, set temperature to 180°C and time to 3 minutes.

    Press START/PAUSE to preheat.

  1. Season the fish
While the unit preheats, pat the cod fillets dry and season all sides with 1 tsp of salt.

  2. Make the crumb topping
In a bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, and remaining 1 tsp salt. Stir well to coat the crumbs in the buttery lemon mixture.

  1. Crumb & air fry
Generously pack the crumb mixture onto the top of each fillet.
Once preheated, place the fillets crumb-side up in the air fry basket.
Reinsert the basket and select AIR FRY, set to 180°C (360°F) for 15 minutes, then press START/PAUSE.

  2. Cook & Serve
Cook for 12–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 63°C and the crumb is golden and crispy.
Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favourite sides, eg. rice, salad, or veggies.

Recipe 2:

Wholemeal Bread Loaf – Fresh-Baked with Zero Fuss

There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked bread, and this Wholemeal Bread Loaf delivers that bakery-style magic at home thanks to the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker™ Pro.

With precise temperature control and the ability to proof and bake all in one pot, this multicooker creates ideal bread-baking conditions without needing to turn on the oven. It’s fuss-free baking, designed for real-life kitchens.

Ingredients (Makes 1 Pullman Loaf)

  • 400g wholemeal flour
  • 7g instant dry yeast (1 sachet)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250ml warm water
  • 30g unsalted butter, softened
  • Extra flour for dusting
  • Oil spray or butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Make the dough
Add the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and warm water to the bowl of your Ninja Professional Food Processor BN650 fitted with the dough blade.
Process on low for 8–10 minutes, or until the dough comes together and begins to feel smooth and elastic.

  2. Add the butter
Add the softened butter and continue processing for another 10-15 minutes, or until the dough reaches the windowpane stage (smooth, stretchy, and elastic).

  3. First proof
Shape the dough into a ball and place it into a lightly greased bowl. Cover with cling film or a damp towel and allow it to proof for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

  4. Shape the loaf
Gently punch down the dough to release air. Roll it out into a rectangle, then roll it up tightly like a Swiss roll.

  5. Second proof
Lightly grease a Pullman loaf tin (including the lid) and place the rolled dough inside. Slide the lid on and allow it to proof again for 45-50 minutes, or until the dough rises to the top of the tin.

  6. Bake in the PossibleCooker
Place the Pullman tin on the rack inside the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker™ Pro.
Select Bake, set the temperature to 160°C, and bake with the lid closed for 45 minutes.

  7. Cool and slice
Once baked, remove the tin and let the bread cool slightly before releasing. Allow it to cool completely on a rack before slicing.

Recipe 3: Vanilla Cheesecake with Berry Sauce: A Showstopper Made Simple

Creamy, dreamy, and topped with a vibrant berry sauce, this Vanilla Cheesecake is the dessert that wins hearts at any gathering. Thanks to the Ninja Combi 14-in-1 Multi-Cooker, achieving that perfect, velvety texture is a breeze. With Steam Bake functionality, the Combi creates bakery-style results without dry edges or cracks. It’s the foolproof way to get a perfectly set, ultra-smooth cheesecake - no guesswork required.

Ingredients (Serves 8–10)

Base:

  • 200g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted

Filling:

  • 500g cream cheese, softened
  • 200g sour cream
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Berry Sauce:

  • 200g mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Make the base
In a large bowl, mix together the crushed biscuits and melted butter until fully combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased springform cake tin to form an even layer.

  2. Mix the filling
Add the cream cheese, sour cream, and caster sugar to the bowl of your Ninja Professional Food Processor BN650. Blend until smooth and creamy. Crack in the eggs and add the vanilla extract, then pulse a few times until just combined.
Avoid over-mixing at this stage to keep the texture light and smooth - a few quick pulses is all you need. Pour the filling over the prepared base and smooth the top with a spatula.

  1. Prepare the berry sauce
Add the berries, caster sugar, and lemon juice directly to the cooking pot.
Stir gently to combine, then set aside.

  2. Steam bake the cheesecake
Place the springform tin on the reversible rack in the lower position, then lower it into the Combi. Close the lid and move the slider to the middle position. Select STEAM BAKE, set the temperature to 120°C, and the time to 35 minutes. Press START/STOP - the unit will steam for approx. 20 minutes before switching to bake.

  3. Cool and chill
Once cooking is complete, the centre will still have a slight wobble (this is perfect!).
Carefully remove the rack and tin. Let the cheesecake cool at room temp for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set completely.

  4. Serve
Slice with a wet knife for clean edges, then spoon over the berry sauce before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge (if there are any!).

One Pot, Endless Possibilities: Ninja Makes It Easy

Dinner doesn’t have to be a daily struggle. With the right tools and a few smart techniques, even the busiest weeknights can end with something delicious, nourishing, and satisfying.

We’ve shown you three tried-and-tested favourites:

These recipes showcase what’s possible with a Ninja Multicooker, but before you start experimenting with your own creations or checking out other recipes, here’s a few extra tips:

1. Layer Like a Pro

When building one-pot meals, place hearty ingredients like meat or grains at the bottom (where the heat is strongest) and more delicate veggies on top to prevent overcooking.

2. Deglaze for Flavour

After sautéing or searing, add a splash of liquid (water, wine, or stock) and scrape the bottom of the pot. This lifts up all the caramelised flavour and prevents sticking during pressure cooking.

3. Liquid Is Key

For pressure cooking, your Ninja Multicooker needs a minimum amount of liquid to build steam and pressure, usually around 1 cup. Always follow the recipe or refer to your cooker’s guidelines.

4. Natural vs. Quick Release

A Natural Release means letting the pressure reduce on its own. It’s best for delicate foods like cheesecake or rice. A Quick Release means turning the valve to vent right away - great for fast weeknight meals like curries, soups, or steamed veggies.
