Scotch Eggs

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken sausage, 1 raw egg, and 60g of breadcrumbs. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 6 portions and flatten each into a long oval shape.

  2. In a shallow bowl, beat the remaining 2 raw eggs.

  3. Place the flour in a small bowl.

  4. Place the remaining 120g of breadcrumbs in a second small bowl.

  5. Roll each hard-boiled egg in the flour, then wrap one portion of the chicken sausage mixture around each egg to encase it fully.

  6. One at a time, roll the encased eggs in the flour, dip them in the beaten eggs, and finally roll in the breadcrumbs to coat.

  7. Insert the crisper plate into the basket and then insert the basket into the Ninja Air Fryer Max. Preheat the unit by selecting AIR FRY, setting the temperature to 190°C, and setting the time to 3 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin.

  8. Once preheated, spray the crisper plate with cooking oil. Place the eggs in a single layer in the basket and spray them with oil.

  9. Select AIR FRY, set the temperature to 190°C, and set the time to 13 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin.

  10. After about 6 minutes, use tongs to turn the eggs and spray them with more oil. Continue cooking for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the Scotch eggs are golden brown.

  11. When cooking is complete, serve warm.
